The Legion of the Creeping Asp was originally designated Legio XIII, before earning their name. Their complement is heavy in spellcasters, and early on had a bad reputation for dark sorcery. Underfunded, the Legion operated as a mercenary unit for many years. It is sometimes vulgarly called the Adventurer's Legion due to accepting same into it's ranks, or vice versa.
Since its early days, this Legion has embraced its alternate ridiculing cognomen with pride, and forgotten about regaining its honor, its members more in favor of pursuing arcane or clandestine activity, under shall we say, shadowy sanction and auspices.
Their patron Gods are Cadic and Sarish, though they pay tribute and sacrifice to all the Gods, in accordance with Coryani spiritual want and dogmatic law.
