Heliadaquae Necropolis:

Heliadaquae has its share of noble citizens seeking to do great deeds. Unfortunately, Neroth is without Mercy. Sometimes those seeking to fight for the right end up paying the ultimate price. Please join us here in remembering those noble citizens that have descended into Beltine's Cauldron while trying to achieve greatness....

Battle of 4 Armies War Memorium

This black marble obelisk is tall, with sides that taper towards the pinnacle, where a globe of pale yellow light glimmers eternally. Inlaid on each side, at the top, are the symbols of each of the armies involved in the conflict: Coryani, Milandir, Canceri, and the Swords of Nier. Around all the sides, in small figures, are names of all those that perished in the conflict, and prayers to Beltine for all the deceased.

    Our Noble Val

    • Andreas val'Assante 1003 I.C.-1026 I.C.
Andreas was the most noble of Vals, a paladin. He sought to fight for the right in the name of Illiir, and bring his light into the world. Though not everyone could get along with him, as his tenets and morality were very strict, he helped many folk along the way. After defending Balamshal against the evil Harvesters of Ymandragore, he could not ignore the opportunity to further weaken the power of the evil isle. He agreed to join the assault against Ymandragore, where he regretably perished, in honorable combat, while holding three foes at bay from his spellcasting companions. He will be sorely missed.
    • Valderix val'Assante 998 I.C.-1026 I.C.
Valderix was a young paladin of Illiir, full of zeal and good intentions. Unfortunately, he found that good intentions didn't save him, as he perished outside the walls of Ventaka.
    • Sula val'Mordane 999 I.C.-1026 I.C.
Sula was a unique soul; a cheerful Nerothian cleric. She did her best to show the mercy that her god is known for lacking. She helped her fellow man to the best of her ability, even taking part in the Assault on Ymandragore. Sula perished heroically, going to meet her god after a hard fight defending Semar against the Ssethregoran hordes.

    Our Human Representatives

    • Valerian Ignem Mortis 1002 I.C.-1025 I.C.
Valerian was another recent immigrant to Heliadaquae. Originally from Canceri, this young Nierite Paladin counted Heliadaquae as his base of operations. During a trip back to his country of origin, he died valiantly fighting Erdukeen invaders at Ventaka.
    • Amal Da Jahad 997 I.C.-1026 I.C.
Amal was a wizard, recently moved to Heliadaquae from Altheria. He had a friendly manner, and quickly made friends with many other adventurous folk in town. He was vociferous about protecting other budding spellcasters from the evils of Ymandragore. His career looked promising, and he had only recently been awarded the prestigious Armillus of the Laurel of Vigilance, by the Emperor of Coryan, Calcestus val'Assante himself! Unfortunately he died in a mysterious conflict in the Ophidian Isles, while visiting Altheria. His body was not able to be recovered, but his friends have placed here this memorial in honor of him.

    Our Elorii Companions

    • Akoni Efani 919 I.C.-1026 I.C.
An Ardakene Elorii, Akoni was a devoted cleric of Belisarda, the Elven Life-goddess. She was also curious about the world, though less able to easily accept all she saw. She was a woman of strong opinions, though she had compassion for those around here. She agreed to join the assault against Ymandragore after hearing another Elorii, Sevestia, speak of the evil isle. She drowned along with Lordana, unfortunately unable to rescue those whose lives she valued so much. This memorial was placed here in honor of her, though her body is forever lost.
    • "Joe" 926 I.C.-1026 I.C.
Joe was a Kelekene Elorii, just out of the Vastwood for the first time. He often stated that his human friends couldn't pronounce his Eloran name, and so he gave the name "Joe", the only one we knew him by. He unfortunately perished in the Forsaken Wastes, before we really got to know him.
    • Lordana Swiftblade 923 I.C.-1026 I.C.
Lordana, an Osalikene Elorii, began adventuring to satisfy some of his natural curiosity. He found beauty in the wild places, and his skills in Woodcraft were formidable. He most often served as a scout and tracker, though he was also a skilled archer. After helping defend the lost city of Balamshal, he agreed to join the assault against Ymandragore. During the assault, he unfortunately drowned, attempting to save the life of an innocent. His body was not recovered, though his friends have placed this memorial here in honor of him.

    Our Dwarven Comrades

    • Oskar Flinthard 994 I.C.-1026 I.C.
Oskar was a rarity among dwarves; not only was he a paladin of exceptional faith, but the god of his devotion was Anshar! He felt that by easing the suffering of this world, he could in a small part help to redeem his own soul, if not those of his people. In the course of his adventures, he helped defend Balamshal, and agreed to join the assault against the evil isle of Ymandragore. He died by the side of his friend Isaac, trying to capture a ship of the Black Fleet.
    • Jolanta Goldstone 998 I.C.-1026 I.C.
Jolanta only recently moved to Heliadaquae. She was a young dwarf, originally from the enclave of Solanas Mor. Her family came to Heliadaquae as crafts-people. She took to adventuring, as she wished to see more of the world and discover her own path. She died a hero, defending Semar from the evil scourge of Ssethregore.

    Our Gnomish Friends

    • Isaac 999 I.C.-1026 I.C.
Isaac was an outgoing fellow, always trying his best to cheer up others, and impress the ladies. With talents in arcane casting, he often tried to dazzle those around him with spectacular displays. He had also become interested in the doctrines of Larissa, though he took no clerical vows. After many successful adventures, he helped defend the lost city of Balamshal, and was recruited for the mighty assault against Ymandragore. During the assault against the Harvesters, he died in the attempt to take a Black Ship.
    • Sir Murray Saltine 997 I.C.-1026 I.C.
Sir Murray distinguished himself in service to King Osric, and was granted a most rare privilege. He was granted the White Sash, and became nobility, perhaps the only known gnome to attain such a station. He was bold and good-hearted. Sir Murray died a hero, defending Semar from the evil scourge of Ssethregore.

    Our Dark-Kin Compatriots

    Our Half-Orc/Hobgoblin Countrymen

    • Starla 906 I.C.-1026 I.C.
Starla was a soldier, a woman that was stalwart in the defense of her friends. She cared about her companions, and died defending them, deep in the Forsaken Wastes.
