Welcome to the Invisible Kings Program of the Living Arcanis campaign. This program will give you, and your fellows, the opportunity to control and shape a region of Onara.

Program Launch

PCI is not currently accepting applications for new Invisible Kings. At Origins 2006, PCI announced the first accepted IK groups. Before adding additional groups, PCI would like to get the new program running smoothly with the groups already accepted. Over the following year PCI will make announcements detailing when they will be accepting further applications, and when the next round of selections will be accepted.

Contrary to previous statements, PCI did not limit the accepted groups to six. Submissions were of such high quality that PCI accepted eleven groups in the initial program launch. Websites with specific campaign information for the individual IK groups will follow when possible. Please note that as a national capital, Nishanpur is NOT an Invisible Kings domain.

Program Basics
  • Where can we get IK modules?
    • Once they have been premiered, the modules from the Invisible Kings regions will be posted for download on livingarcanis.com. RPGA will not host them, as adding another 60+ mods per year to their workload isn't a very nice thing to do. And before anyone says anything, NO this doesn't mean RPGA is upset with us. Some Greyhawk regions do the same thing. Its just how really big campaigns run.
  • Can we report and get RPGA credit for playing IK mods?
    • Hopefully you can report these as home games for player/GM credit. More details will be forthcoming. We are also working on an unofficial internal tracking database here on Onara Online. We'll announce when it is ready, trust us. But until we got the bugs worked out, hold your horses.
  • What/Who are the Invisible Kings?
    • The Invisible Kings are a group of three people who are, basically, in charge of developing plot ideas and writing modules centered on a particular domain. Each domain has its own group of three Invisible Kings.
  • What is a Domain?/What can a Domain encompass?
    • A Domain can be a small city, a town, or even an organization like a secret society. National capitols (Nishanpur, Grand Coryan) are NOT available as choices for Domains. Other restrictions and clairifications on Domain choices are detailed in the Program Guide document.
  • Why, as a player, should I care about this program?
    • If you have a PC that is a member of a group run by Invisible Kings, or whose home town/region is administered by Invisible Kings, you have the benefit of reduced TU cost for adventures taking place in your home region, or possibly even of gaining special favors in modules centered on your 'home' region/group.
  • Why, as a writer, should I think about becoming an Invisible King?
    • Aside from getting modules into print, Invisible Kings that meet the program requirements on or ahead of time can gain benefits including free PCI print products, PCI Reward cards, the ability to play a PC from the unique val'Cessari family (known as the Invisible Kings), and more!
  • What are the requirements of the Invisible Kings Program?/How do I sign up?
  • Who are the val'Cessari?
    • The val'Cessari are a very secretive Val family, available only to Invisible Kings as PCs. The details of the family and their powers have not been released at this time. PCI wishes to reserve details initially to the first group of Invisible Kings, as a thank you for their hard work and effort.
